A Tustin group is organizing a sporting event in mid-July, which has run annually for many years.
The SoCal Golf Tournament is headed into its 31st year. The contest contains several disciplines in the sport of golf, each having a separate event within the day. These include a team competition, Hole in One, Longest Drive for both women and men, a contest for who can get closest to the pin, and one for putting. In addition, raffles using cash will be held for various prizes. In the case of the team contest, prizes will be awarded to those who come in the top three places.
The tournament, put on by the Fresh Produce & Floral Council, will have food provided by the Taqueria de Anda and Messi Burger food trucks. Each will be present at different times in the day, for lunch and breakfast. Drinks will also be available during breakfast and happy hour.
Registration for any part of the event can be completed starting at 7:00am on the day of, at the Tustin Ranch Golf Club, which is the tournament’s venue. This process is free. A full schedule of the contests can be found on the council’s website. A giveaway will be done for everyone who takes part. Flyer printing will frequently be used when promoting local competitions. The date for the tournament is July 18th.
