The Huntington Beach International Surfing Museum holds "Share the Spirit in 2019", their 19th annual fundraising event.
The Share the Spirit event begins with a pancake breakfast before everyone heads the beach for their New Year’s Day swim with the High Noon Surf City Splashers Dash. The organizer recommends costumes, and several awards will go out to those with the most original choices including Best Team Costume, Best Sea Creature, and More. Awards also go to the youngest and oldest participant and the person who traveled furthest for the event. Every participant who braves the water will receive a Certificate of Success.

The cost of the event is $25 per person. All proceeds support the Huntington Beach International Surfing Museum. Tickets are available at the event website, at the museum, and on the Eventbrite website. Vendors can download the application at the event website. The cost to rent a space for the day is $100 and includes the pancake breakfast.
The pancake breakfast and registration begin at 9:00 am on January 1st and at 11:00 am all participants dash to the shore for their big splash. The event is at Zack’s at Pier Plaza at 405 Pacific Coast Highway in Huntington.
