Tustin park ready for summer of music

Tustin residents can put on their dancing shoes and enjoy music all summer long, as its Parks and Recreation Department is hosting free summer concerts in the park.

The annual event offers a chance for the community to gather in an informal setting. Concert attendees can bring a blanket, lawn chair, and, if desired, have a picnic while listening to a wide array of music. Included in the lineup are classic rock, country, motown, and several tribute bands.

Vendors will be offering a wide variety of food and beverages. Food services will often use a local poster printing company to create Menus and display food descriptions and prices.

During intermission, there will be performances from kids from the School of Rock in Tustin. Founded in the late 1990s in Pennsylvania, the School of Rock has branched out to include schools all over the United States and a few locations in Mexico. The organization aims to guide students from lessons onto the stage.

Beginning on June 25 and continuing until August 13, the concerts will take place each Wednesday evening from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Peppertree Park, located at 230 West First Street. Although the park is spacious, the concerts may be crowded, so it is advisable to arrive early to find a suitable spot.
