Tustin mall to get a Nordstrom Rack

A new addition to The Market Place, in Tustin was announced by the Seattle-based Nordstrom, Inc. on February 1.

A 32,500-square-foot Nordstrom Rack is coming to The Market Place this fall. The mall is located at the intersection of Highway 261 and 5 Freeway.

The Market Place, which the Irvine Company owns and manages, already is home to stores like Dick’s Sporting Goods, Cost Plus World Market, Best Buy, T. J. Maxx, Target, Islands Fine Burgers & Drinks, and TAPS Fish House.

Presently, Nordstrom operates 22 full-line stores and 31 of its off-price retail division, Nordstrom Rack, throughout Southern California. Currently, the closest Nordstrom Rack locations to the planned Tustin store are at Outlets at Orange, Metro Pointe at South Coast, and Laguna Hills Mall. The Rack offers a wide selection of Apparel, accessories, and shoes at prices that are 30-70% lower than the original retail price.

Nordstrom Inc. started out as a shoe store in 1901 and today operates 323 stores. The Logo Design of the company is familiar to residents of 39 states, as well as parts of Puerto Rico and Canada, all of which are home to at least one Nordstrom or Nordstrom Rack store.

Nordstrom Rack’s inventory is made up of specially purchased items from brands found at Nordstrom, as well as its regular merchandise.
