Tustin food event gives back to local organizations
An annual event in early June is coming back to Tustin to help important causes through a fun experience.
The Street Fair & Chili Cook-Off is an event which provides the community an opportunity to gather, enjoy a fair, and eat a bunch of great food. It also uses its proceeds to give back to Tustin service groups and non-profits that have some of their members help with running the celebration.
The chili contest is the biggest single-day event in the United States. In addition to the featured dish, food vendors will also have a variety of other meals and treats to try. Each sample of chili will require a payment of $1. Some craft beverages will also be available for those who are of drinking age to purchase. These drinks will be $9 each, while there is also a single $2 fee for a required wristband.
A market area will have vendors offering handmade items and local organizations with information booths. Kids will have a dedicated space with their own entertainment as well as bounce houses and games. The main area will also have live music.
There is no cost to attend the festivities. The activities will be taking place in Old Town Tustin. Many similar events turn to flyer printing as a promotion technique. The event will run between 11:00am and 6:00pm on June 1st.
