A lesson held in early December will introduce young Tustin residents to the dance world.
Youth Winter Dance Camp is an event run by the dance team of Tustin High School. Both coaches and members will help teach campers holiday routines and techniques in several styles. Every participant is able to perform the pieces they learned a week later as a part of the team’s “Winter Showcase” event.
The styles included are character, hip-hop, lyrical, jazz, pom, and ballet. Children from kindergarten to the eighth grade are welcome, as long as they are potty-trained. Participants are expected to bring their own water and bagged lunch, and should wear shoes with closed toes. The campers will also get to enjoy a festive craft and some games.
Showcase participation cost is also covered by the ticket for the class. This has a $40 value, and a link for purchases can be located on Unation.com. The class will be running on Saturday, December 2, held between the hours of 9:00 am and 1:00 pm.
Tickets to the showcase the following week are $7 beforehand and $10 on the day. Those looking to attend can buy them from any one of the dance team members. The show will start at 7:00 pm on Friday, December 8. School teams and kid-focused camps will both often use flyer printing as an option for advertising their planned activities.
