An event taking place in the early days of May in Tustin is incorporating elements from a much-celebrated realm in pop culture.
Dark Tide is an art class from Pinot’s Palette. The image painters will create sees the outline of Darth Vader’s helmet filled in with a bright ocean scene, while a darker space-themed background surrounds him. The theme was chosen in honor of Star Wars Day on May 4th, which is inspired by a play on words from the line “May the force be with you.”
Pinot’s Palette uses the popular concept of “paint and sip” to provide the community around its studios with a fun and relaxing space to explore the art world. There are events for adults only, as well as some that are open to children. Dark Tide is one of the latter.
Those under the age of 16 are required to have a ticket-holding parent or guardian with them. Each spot will cost $35, which covers the instruction and materials needed. Tickets are available on the Pinot's Palette website.
The Tustin studio offers a selection of food and drinks for purchase. Flyer printing services are often hired for art-related events, as the visual nature of this promotional technique helps draw in potential participants while also being simple to distribute.
The class is taking place on Sunday, May 4 between 1:00pm and 3:00pm.
