Spin-off of iconic show for kids goes to live stage

A spin-off show giving a new twist on a long-running program for kids is jumping from screen to stage with a live event. Tustin residents can enjoy a performance in early February.

Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood (DTN) is an animated show centered on a character originally seen in Mister Rogers’s Neighborhood. Daniel Tiger gives kids a peek at life in his area, while learning about scenarios viewers may face in their lives too. The original series ran for decades, educating millions of children in a positive and engaging way. DTN honors the show with live action pieces inserted into each episode. These use real people, allowing the kids to see the teachings play out in a real-life scene.

Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood Live: King for a Day sees Daniel experiencing everything a king goes through. With song and dance, the show brings an element of fun to learning important life lessons. Special appearances will be made throughout the show by secret guests, with familiar faces also joining Daniel. These include Miss Elaina, Princess Wednesday, O the Owl, and Katerina Kittycat.

Tickets are sold via Ticketmaster. The price for the City National Grove of Anaheim event ranges from $33.25 to $74. Merchandise with the show’s Logo Design will often be put up for purchasing at stage events. The The performance begins at 2:00 pm on Saturday, February 10.
