Orange County service celebrates milestone customer

The County Services Center (CSC) in Orange County has announced that it has now served more than 100,000 customers since it started operating in September 2019.

Chairwoman Michelle Steel, along with Vice Chairman Andrew Do, marked the achievement by giving the 100,000th customer a basket with Promotional Products from CSC’s departments. Steel commented:

“Over the past year our taxpayers have saved both time and money by no longer having to travel to and park at multiple locations to receive County services. The County Service Desk is a shining example of increased government efficiency.”

The CSC is located in Santa Ana, although it serves people all over Orange County, including Tustin. The center is tasked with providing residents with numerous county-related services from the OC Public Works, the Clerk-Recorder, County Information Desk, and the Treasurer-Tax Collector, among others. The main purpose of the CSC is making it possible for Orange County’s residents to get access to all of the county’s services from one location.

The CSC was able to continue serving people during the pandemic using mail, phone, and the internet. The department reopened on June 10th and has been providing onsite services to approximately 300 people per day. Customers are concluding their business at the CSC within eight minutes.

Mr. Do believes that the work being done at the CSC represents how the county is improving the way it serves Orange County.
