Orange County goes global

Locals in and around Tustin can enjoy a rich cultural experience as the City of Irvine’s Global Village Festival will take over

Bill Barber Park for the day.

Guests can enjoy live music and dance performances on five stages. More than 50 local restaurants and food trucks will have international cuisine for attendees to try.

In addition, a special tennis area will have demonstrations, interactive activities, and information about lessons and leagues in the local area.

There will also be a marketplace with crafts and gifts from around the world along with cultural exhibits. It’s likely vendors purchased digital Business Cards to have on hand during the event.

Children can check out the kids’ village where there will be kid-friendly music and cuisine choices along with crafts, inflatables, games, and more. Finally, guests can stop by the green expo and learn a little more about sustainability, and possibly get some free items.

Admission is free. Food tasting tickets cost $1 each and food items cost between one and three tickets.

It all takes place on September 26 from 10:00 am until 6:00 pm. Bill Barber Park is located at 4 Civic Center Plaza in Irvine. Parking is not available at the site. However, shuttles will be available to take individuals to and from the parking structure on Main and Jamboree and at Mike Ward Community Park.
