What's Happening in Tustin, CA…

OC Restaurant Week draws big crowds

The 11th edition of the OC Restaurant Week was a roaring success.

More than 150 restaurants from numerous towns, including Tustin and Newport Beach, participated in the March event and saw a large influx of customers. Some of the restaurants went a step further and held themed nights such as breakfast for dinner, girls’ night out, and family-friendly.

This event dedicated to the celebration of food has become a tradition in the Orange County. It is about more than just dining out because it gives people a chance to support local businesses and go all out on meals that they usually save for special occasions. Stationery printers were dishing out new menus with the OC Restaurant Week's logo design and special offers on people’s favorite meals. Some of the specials included lunch and dinner options at reduced prices and group discounts. Diners who appreciate finer meals got access to deluxe menu options at bargain rates.

Cocktail menus were also spruced up for those who prefer drinks over meals. Several of those drink offers featured $11 beverage deals to commemorate the OC Restaurant Week’s 11th year.

Patrons reported that 2019’s Restaurant Week was more versatile than ever before. The record number of participating restaurants meant that patrons were spoiled for choice whether they wanted meat-heavy dishes, vegetarian platters, simple seafood, or something new every day. Even fast-food lovers were given the option of a $20 two-for-one dinner deal at Chihuahua Cerveza. Sapphire Laguna made sure that foodies were given fancy desserts such as apple croustade.

The organizer of the event, the OC Restaurant Association, is certain that 2020’s OC Restaurant Week will be even bigger.
