Individuals who are interested in learning more about plants can head over to a class based on exploration later this month.
‘What’s in Your Pantry’ is a workshop in which students will learn about the origins of sunflower seeds and berries. Furthermore, the class will explore how these items go from plant to table. Finally, participants will create a ‘lunchbox field guide’.
Tania Marien will be the instructor. To participate, individuals must make a reservation and be 14 years of age or older. Registration is $15 for members and $25 for non-members. There is also a $20 fee for materials.
The event is part of a botanical art series at the Bowers Museum. The award-winning museum features a cultural center, kids’ museum, and a restaurant. Its permanent collections include works from regions all over the world. The museum also boasts a traveling collection, curriculum guides for educators, and a wide variety of programs.
Museums often use brochure printers to create handouts. Colorful, tri-fold Brochures could be placed near the museum’s entrance for visitors to pick up. Hours, ticket prices, and exhibition summaries would be some helpful information to include.
The workshop is set for August 20 from 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm. Bowers Museum is located at 2002 North Main Street in Santa Ana, just a short drive from Tustin.Get a Free Quote for Brochures
