Locals say Boo at the Zoo

The Santa Ana Zoo, just a few minutes away from Tustin, is hosting a Boo at the Zoo.

This non-scary event will feature a trick-or-treat trail with 10 prize stations. Trick-or-treating is intended for kids between the ages of 2 and 12.

Attendees can enter the costume contest or listen to some storytelling. There will also be animal presentations, games, and other entertainment. Hungry individuals can purchase hot dogs and chips.

For something a little scarier, older kids may want to venture into the ‘Teen Scream’ haunted house. This area is separate from the rest of the event, but is included with admission.

Tickets cost $8.95 for The Friends of Santa Ana Zoo members, and $16.95 for nonmembers. Children under two are free.

Online ticket sales will occur on October 16 and October 23 only, and tickets sales will end on those days at 5:00 pm. By purchasing the tickets online, individuals can skip the entry line.

Custom Drinkware was likely created for this special event. Santa Ana Zoo Mugs, Tumblers, and cups were probably made to be sold in the gift store.

Rain or shine, the event will be held from 5:30 pm until 8:00 pm on October 17, 18, 24, 25, and 30. The Santa Ana Zoo is located on 1801 East Chestnut Avenue. Parking is free. For more information, call (714) 836-4000.
