Counties receive $4m to fund housing projects
Local governments located in Orange County and San Diego County will be benefiting from a round of funding released to help with projects related to housing.
The money is coming from the California Department of Housing and Community Development, and people in Orange County cities such as Tustin can expect to benefit from the investment. Senator Patricia Bates, who currently sits on the Senate Housing Committee, made the announcement in a statement where she said:
She also said that the committee and other stakeholders are working on new ideas and following through on old ones geared towards taking care of housing needs in California. Information about what projects are undertaken in such programs can usually be found on documents with official letterheads.
About $4m for the project’s funding will be from California’s Permanent Local Housing Association (PLHA) program. The plan for how the money will be distributed shows that the County of Orange will receive $1,272,164 to be used on emergency shelters and navigation centers. San Diego County receives $1,979,966, with the Cities of Oceanside and Rancho Santa Margarita also benefiting.
