Tustin event to celebrate independence
An early July event is giving Tustin locals a chance to party in honor of a special holiday.
The Fourth of July Celebration is Tustin’s way of marking the date on which the United States gained independence in 1776.
This celebration is organized by Tustin Parks and Recreation. The event features music, food, and a beautiful fireworks show. In addition, there will be a “marshmallow fight,” as is a tradition at the event.
Food will be sold through a number of trucks, each having its own menu and cuisine. Music will be performed live by Those Guys, whose setlist mixes together hits from today, the 2000s, and the 1990s.
Warm Wishes will be accepting donations of non-perishable food items between 6:00 am and 5:00 pm.
The venue for the party is the Tustin High School Stadium. Seating for the fireworks will be available on grass on one side and the sets of bleachers. Attending is free, with a fee of $10 for parking, which will go toward benefiting the school’s dance team. Flyer printing is a common promotion technique for city-led events like this.
The celebration is taking place on Friday, July 4, starting at 5:00 pm. The fireworks portion of the night will start at 9:00 pm. Guests are asked to leave dogs at home and are reminded that smoking is prohibited, including e-cigarettes.
