Stockton undertakes three-month long repaving project

The Summer Repaving Project for 2019 in Stockton is getting underway. This project will consist of resurfacing approximately three miles of major roadways where the pavement is suffering due to high traffic volumes.

The roadways affected are Arch Road, from State Highway 99 to B Street; March Lane, from Riverbrook Drive to Feather Drive Lane; and Pershing Avenue, from Brookside Road to March Lane. Professional printing services can be used on such roadways to create Signs notifying drivers of the work being undertaken.

All work on the project will take place between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm. There will be one lane of traffic on each of these roadways that will always be opened. Drivers on these streets need to be watchful for workers who will be directing traffic, and for updates on message Signs along these streets.

Funding for this project was made possible by the federal government from its Regional Surface Transportation Program. The work itself is being done by George Reed, Inc., General Engineering Contractors from Modesto, a company that specializes in work for including local, state, and federal government agencies.

The project is expected to take about three months and be completed in July 2019. These who have questions or concerns about this project can contact the Public Works Department of the city of Stockton.
