Hospice care offers support and a helping hand to individuals and families at the end of life, and the community has been invited to participate in an event that will raise funds for this service.
The Community Hospice Foundation, Hospice of San Joaquin, and the San Joaquin unit of the California Trucking Association will be joining forces to host Truckn’ for Hospice. The event will see truckers and others bringing their vehicles to Stockton’s Interstate Truck Center Peterbilt and then setting out for a tour through the scenic Central Valley.
Upon their return, the participants will be able to enjoy the finale, which will include an assortment of freshly barbecued treats, as well as ice cream, a truck show, and raffles for prizes. The monies raised through the activities will be contributed to the Hospice of San Joaquin and Community Hospice, where it will be used to support the individuals and families who make use of their services.
