Parents by Choice will be hosting its annual Safe Trick-or-Treat in downtown Stockton later this week. Parents by Choice is a non-profit organization which provides support for foster youth in the city.
Featured at the event, in addition to the many opportunities for participants to gather candy, will be a market with vendors from the area, games, and a haunted alley. Tony Yaden, director of Parents by Choice, said the alley is family friendly and suitable for people of all ages. He added that there will be three floors of games, activities, and candy at the event.
Such unique and special seasonal events can be promoted throughout the community with poster printing.
Yaden said that at first the organization was looking for an activity for the families it works with. Then the organization decided to open it up to the entire community as the organization has 70,000 square feet of space, which means it is large enough to host such an event.
There will also be local enforcement at the event, as well as safety ambassadors from the Downtown Stockton Alliance to ensure that trick-or-treating will be safe for attendees.
The event is open to people and families of all ages and is free to attend. Safe Trick-or-Treat will be held at the Courthouse Plaza on East Main Street this Friday, October 27 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm.
