The city of Stockton will be holding its annual Tree Lighting Ceremony and other festivities next month.
Such special festive events are often promoted throughout a city with poster printing.
The celebrations will begin with a holiday parade in the downtown area that starts and finishes on Weber Avenue, near the Waterfront Warehouse and the Weber Institute.
The Weber Points Events Center will open its gates at 3:00pm for early arrivals to enjoy local performances, rides on horse carriages, complimentary hot chocolate, snowfall, and picture taking with Santa Claus and Frosty the Snowman along with the parade. The Pacific Horn Ensemble from the University of the Pacific will be performing at 4:30 pm. There will also be food trucks for grabbing something to eat and specialty vendors for holiday shopping.
The Tree Lighting Ceremony will take place at 5:30pm, followed by the Lynn Hahn Memorial Delta Reflections Lighted Boat Parade along the waterfront at 6:30pm. This has been a tradition in the city for over three decades and is made possible by the Marina West Yacht Club. Beginning at 7:30pm will be the Stockton Kings basketball game. Martin Luther King Plaza will have lighted trees, while festive lights and wreaths are at the Cesar Chavez Central Library, the Civic Auditorium, City Hall, and at the Weber Point Fountain.
These events will take place on Saturday, December 3.
