Babysitting can be a way for young people to earn some extra money, and a course has been planned for Stockton that will give those who are interested in starting up their own childcare business skills they can use to make it a success.
An assortment of topics will be covered in the Babysitter Complete Course training session, which will be hosted by the Life First Training Center. First aid and CPR for both infants and children will be taught, as will how to care for a sick child. Participants will also learn the basics of early childhood development, along with tips on how to keep kids entertained.
The youngsters who complete the training will also learn about how to promote and manage their child care enterprise, where they can find jobs, and how to craft a résumé. Flyers and other inexpensive marketing materials that can be used for this can be supplied by a local printer. Once they have successfully completed the instruction, each participant will receive both a CPR card and course certificate.
This workshop, which will equip the attendees with skills they can use to build a successful sitting business, will begin on September 30. The registration fee is $75 each, and anyone who would like to find out more can do so on the eStockton website.
