Held this year from August 10-18 at a number of bars and restaurants in downtown Stockton, Beer Week is a celebration of the impact local breweries and microbreweries on Stockton’s economy and culture. The event is nonprofit, and simply a good way for citizens of Stockton to try a variety of interesting beverages. These are often accompanied by food, games, and good times.
Residents of Stockton will recognize many of the names of their favorite drafts, like Valley Brewing Company and El Dorado Brewing Company. There are also expectations that Beer Week will feature special summer blends that are only available during limited times. Beer Week is considered by locals and visitors as a fun adult activity.
The event was developed in the past for the purpose of increasing customers and spending in the area bars and restaurants. It is managed as a marketing program promoting various events host by the venues who participate in the activities.
The participating merchants will work directly with suppliers, chefs, printing companies and other resources to help manage and promote the event. Printers frequently provide the signage such as banner printing for outdoor festivals. The Banners are made of heavy vinyl and provide direction for attendees as well as depicting the various vendors by name and product.
