A well known and award winning writer of children’s Books recently gave a special presentation in Stockton to a group of kids who ranged from fourth to sixth grade.
Matthew Gollub, who has traveled the world and writes stories based on the things he has learned and seen, brought along some instruments to play. The kids at Spanos Elementary school and their teachers were invited to participate by picking up an instrument or just moving to the beat while he talked about his book, titled ‘The Jazz Fly 2’. It tells the story of a small fly and his band of jazz musicians who are set to perform at a termite mound.
Many of his works include Spanish, English, and Japanese elements, and are set to jazz music. He uses this as a way to introduce other languages and cultures to the readers. A poster printing company can design and Print items that can be put up to promote speaking engagements like this throughout the community, and let the public know when and where they will take place.
Gollub visited more than 40 countries after finishing his studies at the University of the Pacific. He spent an extended time in both Japan and Mexico, where he first met Leovigildo Martínez, who is an artist. They decide to work together on a book and it was then that his writing career took off.Get a Free Quote for Books Get a Free Quote for Print
