College in Stockton to hold fundraising gala

The first President’s Gala will be held by the Delta College Foundation later this month at the Stockton Golf and Country Club.

This will be a fundraising event at which new superintendent/president at the college, Dr. Omid Pourzanjani, will discuss his vision for increasing the educational opportunities for students currently at the college and those who plan to attend it.

Pat Doyle, President of the Foundation, expressed excitement about introducing Dr. Pourzanjani to the community. There will be the opportunity for attendees to hear about his educational innovations and to meet and talk with him on a one-on-one basis. The mission of the Foundation is to provide access to higher education by building partnerships in the community and seeking resources from activities and events such as this Gala.

Dr. Pourzanjani added his thanks to the community that has been so welcoming to him, and that has been so supportive of the students at the college. He said he is looking forward to sharing the many projects and programs underway that will enable students to be successful, and ultimately strengthen the community.

The proceeds from the Gala will go towards supporting these many new programs. Flyer printing services are often used to promote such events and their fundraising efforts.

The President’s Gala will be held on Thursday, March 26, beginning at 5:30 pm.
