Welding courses plan visit to Santa Clara area

Crafting lovers and Santa Clara residents looking to gain new skills can look forward to welding course visiting the region next week.

An Intro to Welding class is scheduled to begin in early February, providing attendees with the basics to learn a new lifelong skill. The course will explain and teach the basics to help artists, hobbyists, and aspiring professionals learn to begin welding. Attendees will learn to work with metal and use a welding torch to cut, join, and grind materials to complete projects.

The course instructor will guide guests through different welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and Flux core welding. Each participant will get to try out and hone these techniques during the class.

The class is open to guests of all ages, although participants under 18 will require a liability waiver signed by a parent or guardian. Flyer printing is an excellent way to spread awareness of classes like this one. Guests can expect to learn welding terminology when attending the course, and the hosting venue will provide all equipment and supplies.

Visual Philosophy will host the event next Friday, February 2, at 5:00 PM. Parking is free and is located behind the host building. Tickets cost $160 per person, and interested parties can book a spot in the class online through its Eventbrite listing.
