Nature enthusiasts to run useful event in Santa Clara

A group with a specialty in plant life is celebrating spring with an event towards the end of the month that Santa Clara residents can enjoy.

The Spring Garden Fair (SGF) puts out an entertaining product that will leave guests with a wealth of new knowledge. With a number of Master Gardeners in attendance, those looking for advice on subjects such as which plants can be next to each other, and what materials are needed, will be able to get whatever answers they were looking for, or at least be pointed in the right direction.

Several of these masters will give speeches about a topic they’re knowledgeable in. Past editions of SGF have seen discussions about topics like fruit trees, succulents, the use of rainwater as a resource, wildfire resistance, and growing tomatoes. Sitting in on one or more of these discussions is free for all festival goers.

Attendees can also select plants that originated from the surrounding area to purchase for their own plots.

Event information is available on the University of California’s Division of Agriculture and Natural Resources website.

Taking part in the festival is free for everyone, with the exception of a $6 fee for parking. The venue is the Martial Cottle Park Demonstration Garden. This is located just a few miles from Santa Clara, in San Jose. Many events tied to universities will use flyer printing in the promotion process.

The festival is taking place on April 26, between 9:00am and 2:00pm.
