Legendary group to visit Santa Clara

A famous band is bringing its show to Santa Clara in late July.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers became a group in the 1970s, originally performing under the name Tony Flow And The Miraculously Majestic Masters Of Mayhem. They changed their name some time prior to 1983, to the name which they are known for to this day.

The members at this beginning stage were Michael “Flea” Balzary, Anthony Kiedis, Jack Irons, and Hillel Slovak. Several albums were dropped with this line-up. After Slovak passed away and Irons quit the band in the late 1980s, the remaining members found Chad Smith and John Frusciante to fill in the missing pieces, continuing on with the music.

Hits by the group include “Black Summer,” “By The Way,” “Around The World,” “Under The Bridge,” “Porcelain,” and “Wet Sand.” In 2012, RHCP received an induction into the famous Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

The world tour will also feature Thundercat and Beck as supporting performers. Tickets are all currently at resale prices, which run from $98 all the way to $3,067. The event is subject to changing Covid-19 protocol, so it is advisable for guests to keep tabs on the requirements. The venue is set to be Levi’s Stadium. Poster printing is often done when promoting similar events.

Doors for the concert will open at 6:30 pm on July 29.
