Annual Santa Clara show planning its return for another year

A celebration of the Santa Clara Pilipino community and the contributions it as made to the cultural fabric of the area will soon be held and everyone is invited to enjoy the experience.

This year will mark the 30th year for Sampaguita, which is also known as Pilipino Cultural Night. It is organized and hosted by the Pilipino American Organization of San Jose State University.

According to the event’s planners, the performance tells a tale of the coming of age of a young American of Philippine decent named Sam and her journey through the adjustment to life as an adult. It will be staged by university students, and includes music, singing, and both traditional and modern dances. Tickets are on offer for $20 each, and they can be purchased for either the evening or afternoon show.

The Santa Clara Convention Center will be the location for this cultural experience, and parking is being offered free of charge. A poster printing company can work with the organizers producing an event like this to craft a variety of items that market it to the community.

The performances of Sampaguita will be taking place in just over a week’s time on May 4 and 5. More information can be contacting its coordinator Ms. Dom Guevara through email at Pcn@akbayansjsu.org.
