Chance to discover new music at the Bowers Museum

Guests will have an opportunity to learn about and hear a new type of music at the Bowers Museum in Santa Ana. A guzheng will be played live in one of the galleries of the museum for the enjoyment and education of guests.

A guzheng is a musical instrument from China. With a long history of use, it is known for being able to produce a wide variety of sounds and chords. Often described as very expressive, it is a stringed instrument, with the body made primarily of wood.

There will be a special live guzheng performance from 11:00 am to noon in the Ancient Arts of China galleries in the Bowers Museum. There will be limited seating available in the gallery on a first-come, first-serve basis, but guests will be able to enjoy the music throughout the gallery.

This event is free with membership or with purchase of a general admission ticket. The Bowers Museum has multiple galleries for guests to explore, including Native American Art, Art of the Pacific, Art of Africa, Pre-Columbian Art, and the South American Ethnographic Collection. These are all included in general admission.

Events like this often benefit from flyer printing, as these can be handed out and used to generate interest. This event is currently scheduled for Saturday, February 2.
