A late July event will be paying tribute to a band in the rock genre with a performance for Santa Ana locals.
Classic Journey is a cover act which performs the iconic songs from the long-running group Journey. The band includes a mix of both the slower emotional ballads and high energy anthems Journey has released since its founding in 1972. Classic Journey is led by singer Chad Smith.
Classic Journey and Beyond is a show that includes the occasional hit track of other bands from the 1980s, such as Foreigner and Toto. This is in addition to the group’s regular rotation. In terms of Journey’s discography, there are tunes such as “Any Way You Want It,” “Faithfully,” “Don’t Stop Believin’,” “Open Arms,” and “Suzanne.” The show is a great way to experience some nostalgia for an era of music that is still widely enjoyed today.
The concert will be held at the Santa Ana Elks Lodge #794. Included in the experience is a buffet meal, with options including several meat and seafood dishes, salads, sides, desserts, and coffee. This will take place before the music starts. Tickets are available through the venue’s website, with a $60 cost each. Many musicians will hire a printing service to put their Logo Design on a selection of merchandise to sell to the audience. The event will start at 6:00pm and run until 10:00pm on July 25th.
