Santa Ana Zoo to hold orchid festival

Fascination of Orchids will hold a multi-day event at the Santa Ana Zoo where guests can browse and learn about exotic plants.

Fascination of Orchids and Exotic Plants is a program that invites people to browse flower vendors and talk about plants with local gardening experts from The Master Gardeners. Attendees will get to see thousands of plants that were grown by Californian, Asian, and South American gardeners. There will be free classes held throughout the event that teach guests how to take care of orchids. Visitors to the fest can also bring home free literature about plants.

The Santa Ana Zoo is an attraction where families can learn about many kinds of animals and go on themed rides. The zoo is home to animals like golden-headed lion tamarins, western pond turtles, and miniature donkeys. People can also visit the Flight exhibit, a live butterfly habitat that is filled with dozens of species. The rides in the zoo include the Conservation Carrousel, Zoofari Express, and 50 Monkeys Ferris Wheel. Kids can enjoy play areas like the Rainforest Adventure Maze.

The orchid-themed festival will be held from Friday, September 26th to Sunday, September 28th. The event is included in the cost of admission to the Santa Ana Zoo. General admission to the attraction is $14 per person, and kids ages 3-12 can enter for $11. Zoos that hold similar community programs to this may use flyer printing services to share information about their fests with more families.
