Virgin Hotels, the hotel brand begun by Sir Richard Branson, recently unveiled a new website specifically for its new San Francisco hotel, and immediately began taking reservations for visits to the hotel beginning later this year. The site also mentions The Know, Virgin's loyalty program.
Virgin Hotels San Francisco will be close to Yerba Buena Gardens, and offers 192 rooms as well as two penthouse suites. There will also be a number of drinking and dining options, including the Commons Club, Virgin's flagship space; a coffee shop known as The Funny Library; a rooftop bar; and meeting rooms.
The new hotel will be South of Market at 250 Fourth Street, which puts it close to local cultural attractions, and the Moscone Center. The hotel will also be near the Central Subway Station, which is scheduled to open in 2019, connecting South of Market to Chinatown and Union Square.
