Locals can celebrate spring, cherry blossom trees, and Japanese culture.
The 48th Annual Northern California Cherry Blossom Festival is coming to Japantown in San Francisco. This is the second biggest U.S. festival of its kind.
For two weekends in a row, attendees can see performances and martial arts. Guests can take part in arts and crafts or try cuisine from one of the many food vendors. For an additional fee, individuals can also take part in Hello Kitty games.
To celebrate Japanese culture even more, the festival will have a tea ceremony, and will showcase traditional Japanese art, dolls, and origami.
Local singers and performers, along with the singer Shuji Akioka, will grace the stage at the Kayo Parade. Individuals may also want to check out the Grand Parade, which will have floats, dance groups, and music.
The majority of the events at the festival are free. A few events, such as the Friendship Reception and the Kayo Parade, require a fee. No doubt Stationery printers have been busy making tickets for the various events.
Due to the popularity of the event, visitors are encouraged to use public transportation to attend.
The festival will go on from April 11 through April 12 and April 18 to April 19. A large portion of the performances will take place at the Japanese Cultural Community Center, located on 1840 Sutter Street.Get a Free Quote for Stationery
