San Fran gets set to light the tree
San Francisco is going to ‘Light the Night’ soon, and everyone is invited.
The tree lighting will be held at the Westfield San Francisco Center, which features a historic dome saved from the Emporium department store that once operated in the same location. The dome was iconic, and has been saved to be mounted on top of the new, modern shopping center.
The centerpiece of the tree lighting ceremony is the 50-foot crystal tree, which is hung upside down from the center of the dome. Westfield Centre began the practice of hanging the inverted tree in 2016. The tree resembles a gigantic chandelier, circled with bands of black and crystal gems, and has been a favorite item on social media since the first tree was unveiled.
In addition to watching the lighting of the spectacular tree, visitors will enjoy hot cocoa, have a chat with Santa Claus, and dance to the music provided by a DJ. Attendees are required to RSVP, and they will need tickets to enter, although the event is free. Space is limited, so when capacity is reached, no one else will be admitted.
The Light the Night celebration will be held at the Westfield San Francisco Centre on Market Street, Under the Dome on Level 4. The date is December 6, and the event is scheduled to run from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Poster printing can be used to advertise events like this.
