Rock outfit to appear in San Francisco

A Scottish band is coming to San Francisco to perform at The Fillmore.

The Fratellis began to build a world-wide fan following in 2013, when they went on tour to introduce “We Need Medicine,” their third album. They appeared in venues throughout Europe, in the United Kingdom, Russia, and the United States.

The group's history starts in 2005, when they first got together in Glasgow. Fans of the movie “The Goonies” will recognize the group's name as that of the bumbling family of goofball crooks in the film. They gave their first performances in their home city the same year they joined up, and released their first self-titled EP in 2006.

Their full-length debut album, which they recorded in a studio, is “Costello Music,” which they also released in 2006. The second single from the album, “Chelsea Dagger,” which is another play on words (this time Britney Spears name) has probably become the song for which the band is best known. Rolling Stone put it in 77th place on their “100 Best Songs of 2007” list, and it has been used extensively in advertising, film, and television.

A review says:

“A great live band not many people seem to have heard of. If you haven't listened try them out. . . These guys deserve more US recognition.”

The Fratellis will be at the Fillmore on January 15, 2021, at 8:00 pm. Poster printing can provide exciting advertising for events like this.
