New York comedian to appear in San Francisco

A stand-up comedian making a name for himself will appear soon in San Francisco.

Sam Morril was raised in New York City, where he has based his career. In 2011, Comedy Central named him one of the “Comics to Watch,” and he has worked with other comedians including Amy Schumer, Conan O’Brien, and Dave Attell.

He interned on “The Colbert Report,” and in 2016, appeared with Colbert on “The Late Show.” He is a frequent guest on late-night television, appearing many times on “Conan.” In September 2018, Comedy Central released his first hour-long special “Positive Influence,” and in February 2020, Comedy Central released his second special, “I Got This,” via their YouTube channel.

Morril has a strong relationship with Comedy Central and appeared frequently on “This Week at the Comedy Cellar,” unless he happened to be on tour. If all that wasn’t enough, he has appeared in the film “Joker,” where he had a cameo as “Open mic comic.” He also played himself in the documentary “Full Capacity,” and co-hosts the podcast “We Might Be Drunk” with fellow comedian Mark Normand.

A review of Morril’s live show says:

“Sam Morril has impeccable timing and presentation, jokes hit like an engine runs, steady and with velocity where needed.”

Sam Morril will be at The Masonic in San Francisco on May 4. Events like this are often advertised with colorful posters, which organizers can have developed at print shops.
