MTV makes casting call in San Francisco

‘The Real World’, a staple for more than 20 years on the MTV network, is coming to San Francisco to cast next year’s season.

The reality show takes a collection of beautiful, young, and often quirky people and throws them together in a huge house, letting the camera record their interactions.

According to the casting announcement, applicants must look like they are between 21 and 24 years of age and have a big personality, an unusual life story, personal magnetism, and an adventurous attitude. The announcement went on to say the show is looking for participants who are open-hearted and open-minded. They are particularly interested in those who are at major turning point in their lives, and are facing important decisions.

Over the years, the show has featured casts that have been diverse, but the participants have been welcoming to those of different races, backgrounds, and sexual identities.

Casting will be held in the south of Market section of the city, at Woodbury, between 10:00 am and 4:00 pm next Friday, March 25. Interested parties are asked to bring a photo (which will not be given back to them), as well as photo ID that proves the will be at least 21 years of age by this June.
