International star vocalist to appear in San Francisco

A talented vocalist will be performing in San Francisco next month.

Tiwa Savage is the stage name of Tiwatope Savagery, a British-Nigerian songwriter, actress, and singer. She moved to London from her birthplace in Nigeria at the age of 11. Five years later, she started her musical career, working as a backup vocalist for stars such as George Michael and Mary J. Blige.

In Nigeria in 2009, the music industry was experiencing rapid growth, leading Savage to return to the African country. In 2012, Marvin Records signed her, and she appeared on “Solar Plexus,” a compilation album on that label.

Her recording career took off in 2013 when she released “Once Upon a Time,” her debut album. In 2014, at the Nigeria Entertainment Awards, the work won a “Best Album of the Year” nomination. That year, the album was also nominated for “Best R&B/Pop Album” at The Headies.

Her second studio album, “R.E.D.,” appeared in 2015, followed by her first EP, “Sugarcane,’ in 2017. Savage became the first female Nigerian artist to win a nomination for the BET Awards.

Savage blends R&B, hip-hop, Afrobeats, and pop into a unique sound. A review says:

“Tiwa Savage is one to always put on a show for the fans and she did just that . . .”

Savage will appear May 27 at August Hall in San Francisco. Poster printing is the perfect solution organizers of this type of event can use when they want to create striking publicity.
