Getting weird in San Francisco

San Francisco is known for “unusual” events like the Bay to Breakers, an annual race where people run in costume, track clothes, or nothing at all. Now another weird event is coming up.

The “How Weird Street Faire” is back for the 22nd year, celebrating everything wild and wonderful. The event is set for the city’s SoMa area, and the theme is “Eternal Return.” Organizers are asking everyone to come dressed in their weirdest costume while they enjoy performances, a marketplace, an art alley, and live music.

The soundtrack to the event will be EDM played on some of the most advanced sound systems in the world and provided by the best artists in the Bay Area. Musicians scheduled to perform are:

• Mountain Lion Hi-Fi
• The Consortium of Collective Consciousness (CCC)
• Bootie Mashup and Heavy Petting Zoo
• Pulse SF
• Temple Nightclub
• Opulent Temple and Opel
• Inorbit and Raindance
• Muti Music and Northern Lights

Art Alley will give faire-goers a chance to look at artwork, including interactive pieces, and visit with craft vendors from the local area. The How Weird Marketplace will give visitors a chance to examine goods from around the world, including accessories and jewelry. Banner printing can be used to create signage for outdoor events like this.

The date of How Weird is September 12, from 12.00 pm until 8.00 pm. A Magic Pass is available that allows the bearer to enter the faire, and includes free items, specials, and discounts. Everyone is welcome.
