Christmas fun run in San Francisco

San Francisco is home to some intriguing races, including the Bay to Breakers. Now, another race has now been scheduled to celebrate the holiday season.

Runners have a choice between the Great Santa 5K or the Rudolph one-miler, but no matter which they choose, they will want to wear their best Santa Claus outfit for the occasion. If they do not have one, a ‘Santa suit’ will be supplied with registration.

The Great Santa Run starts and ends at the East Beach Parking Lot, and both races are out-and-back loops that use the same route. The run takes place right next to San Francisco Bay, giving participants a wonderful view of the water.

Although dogs are not permitted on the course, strollers are allowed, but the baby will have to be registered if parents want them to receive a t-shirt and finisher's medal. The race is not timed, though runners are encouraged to time themselves.

Banner printing can provide course markers for race events like this.

The race is scheduled for December 6 at Crissy Field. The 5K starts at 8am, and the Rudolph run starts an hour later. The Sports Basement Presidio will be the site of a post-race expo. Runners are reminded that parking will be difficult to find, and they should consider using public transportation or other means to reach the race.
