Lez Zeppelin will appear at the Great American Musical Hall, along with Gigenra. Lez Zeppelin, as the name indicates, is a tribute band for Led Zeppelin, but with a huge twist: the group is all female. They have been hailed as the Northeast’s premiere tribute band for the original Led Zeppelin, and have sold out concerts across the region, including one in Madison Square Garden.
SPIN Magazine called them:
“. . . the most powerful all-female band in rock history . . .”
The magazine also noted Lez Zeppelin has now gained a world-wide reputation, and has been featured on television on FOX, VH-1, MTV, CBS, ABC, CNN, and the BBC. They have also been heard on radio on NPR and SIRIUS XM.
Jimmy Page, who founded Led Zeppelin and was its lead guitarist for many years, heard them in London and said:
“They played the Led Zeppelin music with an extraordinary sensuality and an energy and passion that highlighted their superb musicianship.”
The concert is also a fundraiser for the City of Hope Cancer Research Center, which will receive 100% of the profits from the event.
Lez Zeppelin will appear July 31 at 8.00 pm; tickets go on sale July 7 at 10.00 am. A California appearance by this band is rare, and such an event can be publicized by using poster printing.
