Workshop teaches dumpling craft in Sacramento

A culinary session scheduled in Sacramento will guide attendees through the preparation of hand-formed Italian-style dumplings paired with a classic red sauce.

The workshop will focus on foundational kitchen techniques for creating soft dough-based bites commonly associated with rustic European cooking.

Participants will be instructed in mixing and shaping a plant-based potato dough before moving through a step-by-step process that includes rolling, cutting, and forming individual pieces. Instructors will also demonstrate how to prepare a tomato and basil-based sauce using fresh components. Attendees will take part in portions of the cooking process.

The format includes guided instruction followed by practical application, allowing guests to replicate methods in real time. All necessary tools and ingredients are provided on site, removing the need for prior preparation or outside equipment. Organizers often rely on brochure printing to provide detailed instructions to attendees of workshops such as this one.

The class is designed for both beginners and those with prior cooking experience. It is structured as a shared workspace environment in which attendees may collaborate during preparation.

Admission is priced at $64.80 in total, which includes a base fee of $59 plus $5.80 in service charges. Tickets can be bought via the Eventbrite listing.

The event is scheduled for Tuesday, June 9 at 6:00 pm, at the Lucid Winery & Event Venue, 1015 R St, Sacramento.
