Sacramento sustainability leaders gather for regional mixer

Professionals working across architecture, engineering, planning, and construction will convene in Midtown Sacramento next month for an evening focused on collaboration and regional leadership in sustainable building.

Hosted by the California chapter of the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), the two-hour mixer marks the formal launch of expanded engagement efforts in the Sacramento area, although the event is structured as a social networking forum rather than a formal program. Attendees can expect light refreshments and beverages while exchanging ideas with peers committed to environmentally responsible development, and they may wish to exchange Business Cards.

Beyond networking, the evening emphasizes shared responsibility. Conversations are expected to center on how local professionals can shape cleaner construction practices, reduce environmental impact, and promote equity across California’s built environment.

The mixer is open to both established members and those newly exploring involvement with USGBC-CA. No formal presentations are scheduled, allowing space for informal discussion, relationship-building, and the exchange of practical insights.

The event is free for all to attend, though registration may be required. For additional details, individuals can visit the Eventbrite listing. Attendees should also note that sponsorship opportunities will be available.

The Sacramento Green Building Mixer & Happy Hour will take place on Wednesday, March 11, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Café Bernardo R15, 1431 R Street, Sacramento.
