The Best Races will host a holiday running event in Sacramento this December.
The event will offer 5K, 10K and half-marathon distances for runners and walkers of varying experience levels.
The event is designed as a smaller-group race with participation capped by wave. Organizers describe the format as low-pressure and supportive, with no mandatory chip timing. Participants may track their own results through a running app or request assistance from event coordinators.
Three start waves are planned at 7:30, 8 am and 8:30 am. Late-arriving participants may still begin after their scheduled wave, with coordinators remaining on site for several hours after the first start.
Registration prices vary by race distance. The 5K costs $41.32, including a $4.07 fee. The 10K is $46.65, including a $4.38 fee. Half-marathon registration costs $49.87, including a $4.56 fee. The virtual run or family 1-mile fun run costs $41.32, including a $4.07 fee. Registration for all four options remains available through December 26th.
Race bibs will be distributed on event day, while other participant materials are mailed in advance. Those registering within two weeks of the event may receive their shirt after race day. A virtual race option is also available for participants who cannot attend in person.
Organizers of seasonal road races often use banner printing to highlight course options, and registration details.
A Merry Christmas Run 5K/10K/13.1 is scheduled for Saturday, December 26th, beginning at 7:30 am at Sutter’s Landing Regional Park, 20 28th Street, Sacramento, California.
