What's Happening in Sacramento, CA…

The annual MLK Freedom Run is set to return to Sacramento with 10K, 5K, and half-marathon distances. It is being organized by The Best Races.

Runners of all ages, including minors accompanied by a guardian, may walk or run the course. Coordinators will remain on-site for three hours behind the first start time. Timing is optional, with runners allowed to track their distance on any app of their choice or request manual timing assistance. Signup includes a shipped race shirt, towel, medal, or equivalent item, digital training materials, access to online results, and an invitation to join local running clubs. A technical shirt upgrade is available, and race bibs will be distributed on event day.

Late registrants may receive their shirts after the race due to shipping timelines. Final instructions and course maps will be issued on the Wednesday prior to the event. The Best Races is also continuing its charity mileage initiative.

Banner printing may be used by race organizers to highlight different areas along the race route for events such as this one.

Tickets for the MLK Freedom Run include $37.37 for the 5K, $42.18 for the 10K, $45.06 for the half-marathon, and $37.37 for the family one-mile or virtual option. There is also an optional specialized running shirt available for $42.18. Tickets may be bought through the Eventbrite listing.

The event will take place at Sutter’s Landing Regional Park, 20 28th St, Sacramento, California, on Saturday, January 17th, from 7:30 to 10:30 am.
