Healthcare professionals specializing in burn treatment will convene in Sacramento this September for Burn Summit 2026.

The conference will focus on improving care for children with burn injuries through education, research, and clinical collaboration. Hosted by Shriners Children's Northern California and the Neil Reitman Pediatric Burn Institute, the event will feature presentations from physicians, nurses, researchers, emergency responders, and rehabilitation specialists dedicated to pediatric burn medicine.

The program will provide eight hours of accredited continuing education for eligible healthcare professionals. Sessions will examine emergency treatment, surgical care, trauma management, wound care techniques, psychological recovery, school reintegration, current research, and community support programs. Hands-on breakout exercises and simulation activities are also scheduled, allowing attendees to apply concepts discussed during presentations. Breakfast and lunch are included with registration.

The conference will conclude with closing remarks, participant surveys, and a raffle. Accreditation is jointly provided through the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education, Sacramento County EMS Agency, and the California Board of Registered Nursing.

Registration is available in three categories. Admission for non-MD or DO healthcare professionals is $48, reduced from the regular price of $60. MD or DO registration is $80, discounted from $100. Student admission is $32, reduced from the standard $40.
