Oktoberfest street party returns to Sacramento

Midtown Sacramento will host a German-inspired celebration this September when Der Biergarten presents its ninth annual Oktoberfest street party.

This adults-only gathering will transform the area around 24th and K streets into an outdoor festival featuring traditional food, beer, music, games, and cultural entertainment. Attendees must present a valid government-approved identification document to prove they are over 21.

Entertainment will include The Gruber Family Band, MC Tommy G, and a DJ contributing additional music throughout the six-hour program. Guests are encouraged to wear lederhosen, dirndls, or other German-themed clothing. Wristbands will be provided and will permit reentry during the festival.

Pets are prohibited, except for qualified service animals. Glass steins and Mugs cannot be carried into the festival area. The venue does not provide dedicated parking, so guests are encouraged to use public transportation, rideshare services, or surrounding street parking.

General admission costs $23.18, including a $3.18 fee. A five-drink-ticket add-on costs $49.87, including a $4.87 fee, while an Oktoberfest T-shirt costs $28.52, including a $3.52 fee if bought from Eventbrite. Purchases are non-refundable.

Organizers frequently use flyer printing and other printed marketing to advertise cultural celebrations such as this one.
