The UC Davis Division of Continuing and Professional Education in Sacramento will hold an investigation class in January.

Incident Investigation Techniques is a two-day in-person class for novices and professionals that is a mandatory part of the Workplace Health and Safety Manager Certificate Program. The lectures will include subjects such as the principles of incident investigation, the seven steps of initial response, and how to collect information. Students will also be taught about the necessary tools and techniques for conducting their investigations. Those who complete the course will earn 1.5 academic units.

The Workplace Health and Safety Manager Certificate Program helps students learn the required skills for creating and maintaining safer work environments. The program consists of nine courses and costs between $5,190 and $5,865. The classes will show participants how to use regulations to control hazards and establish proactive health and safety programs. Students will receive one-on-one interactions from those with industry experience and participate in class projects.

The classes on investigation techniques will be on January 11 and January 12 from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. The fee to join the courses will cost students $625, though those who register in groups of three or more will receive a discount on their class prices. Organizations that coordinate programs for students such as this may use brochure printing to give attendees educational resources.
