The Sacramento Adventure Playground will hold a camp in June where kids can be introduced to building trades.
The Fort Building Camp is an experience for children where they can learn safe construction techniques in a fun and encouraging environment. The theme of this year’s program is the New York High Rise and Castle. The camp will include a take-home item and an opportunity to freely play in the venue’s playground. Campers will take part in activities like making cubby Signs, scooter races, tool relays, and creating clay art. There are also enrichment activities at the camp, such as hammer practice sessions.
The Sacramento Adventure Playground is a youth development program located at the Maple Neighborhood Center. The program is supported by Fairytale Town and was first organized by Carl Theodore Sorensen in 1943. The adventure playground in Sacramento was created in 2016. Some programs offered at the facility include Family Build Days, Critter Week, and Roasted Nights. People can support the venue by becoming volunteers.
The Fort Building Camp will be held from Monday, June 17 to Friday, June 21. Each camp session will take place from 9:00 am to noon. The fee of the program is $185 per child. No prior experience is needed for the building camp. Local organizations that offer similar summer experiences may use flyer printing to promote their kid-friendly activities.
