Sacramento to give workshop on operating food trucks

Two organizations will be holding an educational event in Sacramento at the California Capital Financial Development Corporation.

Those interested in becoming food truck owners can attend a business development workshop held by California Capital and Sacramento Mobile Food (SactoMoFo). The panel of industry representatives at the event will include a graphic design expert, a successful food truck owner, and a contact from the health department. The special guests will share their knowledge with attendees and give people a realistic understanding of the life of a food truck entrepreneur.

California Capital is a nonprofit company that was created in 1982 to provide guarantees on bank loans for small business owners. The organization also offers financial education classes to those in underrepresented communities. SactoMoFo is a gourmet mobile food company and corporate catering service that was created by Paul Somerhausen in 2011. The business represents several food trucks, such as Balance Me Out, Brunch in a Box, and California Street Tacos.

The business workshop will be on Saturday, August 5th from 9:30 am to 3:00 pm. General admission to the event will cost $249, though discounts will be given to whoever registers before July 19th. The cost of the program includes a book written by Paul Somerhausen. Organizers of development workshops similar to this may use brochure printing to give students itineraries for the events.
