Sacramento symposium to educate site coordinators

The California AfterSchool Network will be holding an informative conference in Sacramento at the SAFE Credit Union Convention Center.

The 2022 Site Coordinator Symposium is an event that allows professionals to learn from their peers and visiting experts. This year, the conference’s theme will be Back to the Future. The program is intended for site coordinators, program directors, grant managers, and community-based organization leaders. Guests will learn about several topics, including bullying prevention, academic tutoring, and how to inspire frontline staff members.

The site coordinator symposium will have multiple activities for attendees, such as game nights, evening gatherings, and site visits. Each day includes several workshop sessions and presentations from special guest speakers. Lunch will be served the latter two days of the convention. There will even be designated networking experiences where coordinators can interact with fellow professionals. Those who partake in the networking sessions may use business card printing to stand out by creating unique cards.

The symposium will be held from Tuesday, June 14 to Friday, June 17. Tickets for the in-person experience will cost guests $125. People can also view the conference virtually for $75. Ticket sales for both versions of the symposium will close on June 3. Those who physically take part in the conference must put a face covering on when inside the SAFE Credit Union Convention Center.
